Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
According to Traditional Chinese beliefs, culture and the oldest Chinese Classic I Ching (The Book of Change from ancient Taoism 1000 - 750 BC), everything is generated by the combination of and movements between The Five Elements, and these elements manifest in everything in the universe. Since human beings are also part of the big nature, the mechanisms in our body follow The Five Elements system as well. We are part of nature! For example: Water (Kidneys) to saltiness, Fire (Heart) to bitterness, Wood (Liver) to sourness, Metal (Lungs) to pungent, and Earth (Spleen) to sweetness. The Herbal Remedies we use are based on the theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine to help bring balance to the body. Herbs are from plants, minerals and animal sources, and come as capsules, pills, tablets, powder and teas. These herbal remedies can help with most health-related disorders and strengthen the immune system. Traditional Chinese Medicine works very well for children and elderly people as Pediatric and Senior Care are also two popular fields among the TCM practices. |
